The CAHPA’s aim is largely to promote, broadcast and publicise to a wider audience the various projects and forthcoming events in the area of traditional arts.

It encourages every kind of contemporary creation which take their roots and inspiration from traditional and popular arts while at the same time embracing all cultures.

The many projects which CAHPA’s take up and develop are based on five fundamental criteria :

1- Provide for research and study at grass roots level (books, audio, archives) and from ancient practices : music, songs, choreography, knowhow… ,

2- Provide for artistic creation on a practical level by financing or organising accommodation for artists,

3- Promote artistic events by sponsoring or proposing artistic projects which come with the full and complete backing of the CAHPA to organisers of concerts, festivals, exhibitions and other culturel outlets,

4- Allow artistic expression by sponsoring or organising educational events to permit greater access to a wider audience,

5- Take part in programmes or events which correspond or complement the aims and aspirations of the CAHPA.
